I can't stress the importance of how important the shape of your eyebrows are to your face. the wrong eyebrow arch or the wrong color eyebrows can completely throw off your face and no matter what you do, there will always be that something that's off about your face. As a MUA I know that if you don't groom your eyebrows correctly you can ruin a perfect make up job. The right eyebrows comes down to three things shape, color, and depth.

Shape

It is extremely important to figure out what shape you or your clients eyebrows should be. Basically your eyebrows should be thickest towards the middle and should taper out towards the edge of your face. Another very important part of having the perfect eyebrows is finding the right brows for your face shape.

Color

If you make a drastic hair color change it may also make a lot of sense for you to dye your eyebrows. Buts not always, there are a few rules of thumb when it comes to dying your eyebrows.

• dark haired people should go one or two shades lighter than the color of hair on their head
•  light haired people to go two shades darker than the color of hair on their head

Now if you are like most women and you choose not to dye your eyebrows and instead choose to fill them in then please read the next section.

 

Depth

I like to refer to how dark or intense the color of your eyebrows are. Some women who have thin eyebrows often opt to go for the eyebrow pencil for a filler, but if you use a combination of light pencil strokes with a little bit of eyebrow powder you will acheive clean, natural look. And please no shaving your eyebrows off and drawing them back on. It's just not physically pleasing.
